We found this rice as an output from a small family farm near the lakes where they have been organically farming, harvesting and preparing in traditional ways for more than a century.
Cook one part of wild rice to two parts water or stock. Cover and simmer for 50 minutes, until kernels blossom, turning puffy and tender. Drain and add salt to taste. Can be eaten hot or cold, lovely with a salad.
