UNBLEACHED CORN FIBRE
spice.boutique world exclusive corn fibre tea bags are our most environmentally friendly product. We have taken the paper mill (5th largest contributor to global warming) out of the production process and helped to develop these corn fibre tea bags. Unlike other tea bags, our corn fibre is non genetically modified corn fibre material.
Our corn fibre tea filter bags are not bleached, but are made white by an oxygen wash process where oxygen molecules are pushed through the fibre to whiten it. Of course they are plastic free, biodegradable, and home compostable.
We do not use plastic glues in our production process, but instead we use a high technology ultrasound and compression technique to seal the sides.
The drawstring is a natural cotton.
We offer two sizes - a standard size (5x8cm) and an extra large size (9x13cm). We would recommend the extra large for spice.boutique tea.
